WHY GOJI AIR? WHY NOW?
Delivering clean safe air, it’s not a moment too soon for Goji Air to be central to your Health & Safety strategy. And it’s no longer just about COVID-19…
Covid-19 has shone a spotlight on the importance of high-quality air filtration systems as a key means of creating a safe indoor environment. As was the case in the Far East during the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) epidemic twenty years ago, airborne viruses are most effectively defeated by a cleansing or replacing the air. But it’s not just viruses that we should be concerned about.
Think that just opening a window is the answer? Think again…
Firstly, ventilation alone won’t reduce the spread of airborne viruses. To do this with efficacy you need a breeze to carry aerial bacteria away from human targets - without this opening a window will only succeed in raising energy costs.
Secondly, the UK’s increasingly poor air quality means that in many parts of the country, air quality is now so poor that it falls below the levels set by the World Health Organisation. Now the 4th biggest cause of death, opening a window can exacerbate matters by introducing dangerously polluted air into the internal environment.
Even popular TV soap opera Coronation Street is highlighting the issue as a major new storyline.
Masks, comprehensive cleaning routines and good personal sanitation are all important in the fight against viruses like Covid-19, but we now know that a far more effective solution - a solution that also deals with air pollution - is Goji Air’s medical-grade air filtration system.
Giving a double whammy protection, Goji Air products shield against the harmful effects of air pollution and kill airborne viruses
Goji Air, with its patented technology, sanitises and protects like no other air purifier and is trusted by a multitude of businesses and facilities around the world including hospitals, schools, transport operators, wellness clinics, residential care homes and in the hospitality industry, Goji Air is the only medical grade air purification system with NCCO Technology.
While other filter products gather contaminated particles and odours, Goji Air breaks down the trapped pollutants and odours, converting the carcinogenic waste and bad stuff into water and carbon dioxide. Cleaner and greener (there are no polluted filters to return to landfill), Goji Air captures and destroys over 99.95% of airborne pollutants.
Safeguarding the health of your team, your partners and your customers, installing Goji Air also boosts your reputation and improves staff retention.

Cathy’s passion for chemistry began in high school when her Form 4 teacher taught her to think of the infinite possibilities that chemistry could give life to if she used her imagination. When it was time to apply to universities, Cathy did not hesitate – her top five JUPAS program choices were all in Chemistry. She chose HKUST for the strength of its chemistry program, and spent her next seven years at the university to complete her undergraduate and PhD studies.
During her student days, Cathy discovered that the University had developed an environmentally-friendly air purification technology called Nano Confined Catalytic Oxidation (NCCO) which turns pollutants into water and carbon dioxide. “Traditional air purification systems are like garbage cans,” explains Cathy. “When they are new, they are like empty garbage cans, but the problem is that when the garbage can gets too full, the garbage overspills. This is what happens when air purification filters become too saturated and are not changed in time – the pollutants that they had collected will be released back into the environment, albeit in low concentrations which are not detectable by the human nose. On the other hand, NCCO is like a recycling center – instead of simply holding pollutants, it will convert them into water and carbon dioxide molecules and release them back into the environment.”
Delivering outcomes with impact, why wouldn’t you add Goji Air to your health & safety strategy?
If you think opening a window solves the problem of airborne viruses, think again. Apart from not even being possible in some instances (hotel room windows on upper floors, for instance, open only partially), ventilation alone won’t reduce the spread of airborne viruses. To do this with any efficiency you need a breeze to carry aerial bacteria away from human targets. If the weather won’t oblige then opening a window will only raise your energy costs and waste your heat source. But the bigger problem is the UK’s increasingly poor air quality. In some parts of the country air quality is now so bad that it falls below the levels set by the World Health Organisation, meaning window opening only succeeds in bringing dangerously polluted air into our immediate surroundings. Masks, comprehensive cleaning routines and good personal sanitation are all important in the fight against viruses like Covid-19, but we now know that the ultimate weapon is medical grade air filtration systems.
